About University Engagement:

The University of Saskatchewan is a major part of the Saskatoon community. All of the workers and students contribute to the waste produced by the university, which contributes to the cities waste.

The university is currently working on a number of different approaches to increase sustainability. Multiple departments in the university are looking at ways to increase sustainability in the university and in the province.

Some of these departments are: Residence, University of Saskatchewan Student Union (USSU) and the Facilities Management Division.

On the engagement section of this site you will find interviews with:

  • Alex Warenka - USSU VP Student Affairs Executive
  • Simon Bigaouette - Residence Assistant LLC Leader
  • Jenna Moellenbeck - Student Symposium Participant
Each individual was asked questions on how they have been involved, why sustainability is important and other important questions.
