Writing Help: the Hanging Indent

How do I indent my Works Cited properly?

The correct citation form in your bibliography is called a hanging indent. It looks like this:

Eisenstein, Elizabeth. The Printing Press as an Agent of Change: Communications and Cultural Transformations in Early Modern Europe. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1979.

How to make a hanging indent for your list of works cited:

In Microsoft Word, put your cursor in the paragraph you want to indent. Choose "Format" from the pulldown menu. Choose "Paragraph..." Under the tab "Indents and Spacing" you’ll see a heading "Indentation." Under "Special," choose "hanging."
